I-Evolve Named to Business First’s Best Place to Work 2014!

I-Evolve Technology Services recently landed on the list for one of Business First’s Best Place to Work for 2014! The 10th annual Best Places to Work list was generated by a survey that was sent out to local companies, and results are based on employee feedback.

For the celebration, I-Evolve sent 4 of our team members to represent the company at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on March 18th.  The Sci-Fi themed event was a packed house, with more than 700 people in attendance representing the 77 companies that made the cut. Recognized under the Micro Category, I-Evolve made the list as one of only fifteen companies in WNY.  We are very proud and excited to be listed as one of Business First’s Best Places to work for 2014!

Uh oh! Windows XP Users May be in Big Trouble

Are you one of the hundreds of millions of people using the Windows XP operating system on your PC? You might want to reconsider; Windows XP, the second-most popular operating system will reach its end-of-service deadline on April 8, 2014.

The Microsoft term “End-of-service”  means that your Operating System (or OS for short) will continue to run. However, Microsoft will no longer provide any sort of updates, including service packs, security updates, patches, and hotfixes.

So what does this mean to current users of Windows XP? For one, increased vulnerability for malware with a strong possibility for an increase in cybercrimes (specifically, stealing personal information, credit card fraud, identity theft, etc.).  Hackers will be more likely to choose the unsupported XP systems as targets due to the increased vulnerability. Also, many software vendors will no longer support their applications on the XP platform, so any new updates will not be able to be applied to these systems. More than likely, there will be an increased difficulty over time with the antiquated OS.

With all these new risks coming to light, why chance it? I-Evolve Technology Services has a host of solutions to assist you in your upgrade. Contact us today to keep your PCs up and running! Visit our website at or contact us at 855-EVOLVE.

Boarding For Breast Cancer

I-Evolve would like to thank Holiday Valley for allowing us to be a proud sponsor of the sixth annual Boarding for Breast Cancer Board-a-thon on February 15, 2014, for the second year.

Skiers, snowboarders, and snow lovers alike from all over WNY and beyond flocked to the picturesque Holiday Valley Resort in support of Boarding for Breast Cancer Awareness Programs and the Camp Good Days Women’s Oncology Programs. Activities included:  special riding and park clinics for women, a park contest open to men and women snowboarders and skiers, local shop demos, a cancer awareness outreach booth, silent and Chinese auctions and an awards reception party.

A little more on these organizations:

Boarding for Breast Cancer is a non-profit organization that focuses on education and awareness for breast cancer, the significance of early detection, and supporting an active lifestyle.

Camp Good Days Women’s Oncology Program is a support for those women dealing with breast cancer following diagnosis and during treatment. They are devoted to strengthening and rebuilding their physical and emotional well-being, through groups, individual sessions, and at their Women’s Oncology Adventure Program.

As supporters of the cause, I-Evolve would like to challenge everyone to get involved. Even if you missed this year, there are many ways you can sponsor next year’s fundraiser. To donate to the organization and become a part this event, visit:
